           DR. LARRY FELKINS

Dr. Larry Felkins began serving the Chilton Baptist Association as

Director of Missions in July 1997. He was a Pastor before coming to

CBA.  The Association has experienced tremendous growth under

his leadership, especially in the areas of missions, ministry, and

financial support. He led the Association in establishing the

"Vision Fund", to return money back to the member churches,

for the purpose of starting new ministries and missions projects

 at the local church level.

Dr. Felkins is active in Southern Baptist life, having served on several

committees at the State and National levels.  He currently serves as

Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Gateway Seminary
Board of Regents at the University of Mobile, Trustee for ALCAP,
and Adjunct Professor for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Bro. Larry and his wife Judy were married in 1967.  Judy is an active partner in the

ministry and serves on the Association staff.  They have two daughters;
Rachael, married to Chef Robbie Nicolaisen;  and Leigh Ann, married to Dr. Keith Sharp;
three granddaughters, Bayley, Georgia and Paisley and one grandson, Charlie.

Dr. Felkins is a graduate of Samford University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
and Kingsway Theological Seminary with additional postgraduate studies at Trinity Theological Seminary.

           MRS. JUDY FELKINS

             Ministry Associate

After a twenty year career in banking, Mrs. Judy Felkins resigned in

1995 to become a full time partner in ministry with her husband

Larry (CBA Director of Missions).  She joined the Association staff in

December, 2004.

Judy provides missions and ministry support services in the areas

of communication, coordination and promotion, as well as the daily

operations of the Association Office.  She also serves the Association

as Senior Adult Ministry and Women's  Ministry Team Leader.

Rhett McKenzie holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling (MAMFC)
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Although an avid LSU fan, he
received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Mississippi State University in
Social Work.

Mr. McKenzie is certified to administer the PREPARE/ENRICH battery of premarital
and marital inventories.  He is also a member of the American Association of Christian
Counselors (AACC).  He has experience working with children, teens, and adults.

Rhett pulls from different schools of counseling in order to tailor his approach to meet
the individual needs of his clients.  His two main approaches are brief solution-focused
counseling in order to teach clients problem solving skills to equip them to produce their
own solutions in dealing with their daily issues, as well as a cognitive-behavioral approach.
He believes that most of our issues stem from damaged relationships with God, self, and
others because of our behaviors that are dictated by the way we think about and perceive
things.  If we can change the way we think (a renewal of the mind), through hard work we
can change our behaviors and strengthen our relationships with God, self, and others.
The Apostle Paul speaks to this in Romans 12:2 when he states: "Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern
what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
